The Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School FFA attended the Agriculture Youth Day presented by Modern Woodmen of America at the DuQuoin State Fair on August 26. Thirty-one total FFA Teams from all across southern Illinois competed in the Farmyard Follies throughout the evening.This year’s events included the crowd favorite tug-of-war, backseat driving (where a student drives a golf cart through an obstacle course blindfolded while another student directs them through the course), tarp folding, the bat race, water balloon toss, hay bale tossing, hay bale stacking, and the shovel race. Carrier Mills-Stonefort had 20 students compete in the various events, and out of the 31 teams, CMSF earned a 3rd Place finish in the water balloon toss, 7th in the tug-of-war competition, and tied for 10th in the hay bale toss.
