The Carrier Mills-Stonefort varsity scholar bowl team (3-0) remains undefeated after winning Thursday at Crab Orchard, 320-160. Trailing 60-10 to the Trojans in the 4th round of 24, the Wildcats took the lead in the 5th round and never looked back. Senior captain Jade Nalley scored a career-high 240 points. Junior Brayden Harmon scored 50, senior Carson VanDyke scored 20, and sophomore Olivia Hunt scored 10.
The JV Wildcats (1-2) dropped their match 220-100 to the JV Trojans. Hunt led the JV team with 40 points. Freshman captain Khloe Kidd scored 30, freshman Jeremiah Beck scored 20, and freshman Summer Janaskie scored 10.
The Wildcats scholar bowl team is off until next Wednesday, Nov. 20, when they travel to Norris City-Omaha-Enfield.
