The Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School proudly announces the 2020 Members of the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. To be considered for the National Honor Society, a student must be a Junior or Senior with a 4.5 GPA or higher.  More than just an honor roll, National Honor Society serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.

Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in activities of the National
Honor Society in chapters across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. Territories, and Canada. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but also challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. Induction into the National Honor Society is a prestigious distinction awarded only to the most proficient students. Few students are nominated for induction, and even fewer are accepted.

Each year, following the NHS national guidelines, Honor Society Chapters throughout the country collectively dedicate countless hours to school and community service projects
as well as fundraisers for local, national, and international charities. Instilling these values early in life helps to lay the groundwork for a lifetime of service. Nominated students are meticulously reviewed for the four qualities each National Honor Society member must possess. Those four characteristics are Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.

The Carrier Mills-Stonefort faculty, staff, and administrations would like to congratulate the newest members of the CMSF Chapter of the National Honor Society and we would like to encourage each of you to continue to demonstrate strong
leadership, scholarship, character, and service because that is what being a
NHS member entails.
