Mathews' Mighty Marvels (Basketball Champions)

The final event was the Hot Shot Competition. Four students from each class had one minute to make as many shots as they could. The further away from the basket, the more the made basket was worth (lay-ups were 1 point, mid-range shots were 2 points, free throws were 4 points, and three pointers were 6 points). The Freshmen finished with 88 total points (Brayden Harmon 33, Presley Choate 31, Alex Smith 15, and Taylor Dombrow 9), the Sophomores had 85 points (Jalon Ellis 47, Elli Taylor 17, Erika Skaggs 11, and Delaney Choate 10), the Junior Class earned 41 points (Devyn Valdez 13, Neveah Sumner 12, Honey Rose 10, and Jessica Hendrix 6 points), and the Senior Class earned an amazing 101 points (Blain Betz 37, Anna Sturgill 24, Abbi Musgraves 21, and Caleb Roski 19).

When all of the scores were added together from all four events, the Juniors were 4th with 83 points, the Freshmen Class was 3rd with 118 points, the Sophomore Class finished in 2nd Place with 123 points, and the Senior Class won 1st Place with 131 points. The Senior Class, Mathews' Mighty Marvels, were presented with the Victory is Ours trophy and the championship belts. Sophomore Jalon Ellis and Freshman Presley Choate were presented with the Hot Shot Awards for scoring the most points during the Hot Shot Competition.

After six events, the Sophomore Class is still in 1st Place with 60 points, the Seniors are in 2nd Place with 52 points, the Juniors are in 3rd Place with 44 points, and the Freshmen are in 4th Place with 40 points. The class with the most points at the end of the final PBIS Event will win a pizza party for lunch on May 5.
