Wildcat Free Throw Contest

The Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School Wildcat Free Throw Contest sponsored by Zack Street Plumbing took place on February 13. Zack Street attended the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Grade School as a child. He left this community for Tennessee when he was in third grade. Even though his departure was at a very tender age, Carrier Mills has remained Zack's "home" in his heart. Mr. Street has given back to his home community tenfold. He has donated athletic equipment, uniforms, scholarships, cash, and even vehicles to our students over the years. Each year he returns to sponsor the Wildcat Free Throw Contest during the basketball season. Every CMSF High School student that attends the game enters a drawing to shoot a free throw. If the student misses their free throw, they get $100. If they make their free throw they win $100 and advance to the championship round to win an additional $500.

This year, 18 students were selected from a random drawing to participate in the contest. The following students were selected: Chloee Culkin, Gavin Roski, Presley Choate, Kyleigh Ryan, Andrew Brown, Jalon Ellis, Erika Skaggs, Tyli Harp, Delaney Choate, Kaylee Klope, Pursaius Linke, Bryton Sharp, Lane Boaz, Neveah Sumner, Kaylee Horn, Caleb Roski, Morgan Murphy, and Lester York.
