School will not be in session for the Carrier Mills-Stonefort School District on Friday, October 16. School resumes on Monday, October 19 at 7:45 am. Enjoy your 3-day weekend!

Attention CMSF Parents/Guardians: You must provide the school with your student's updated immunization records, physicals, proof of an eye exam, and proof of a dental exam by October 15. If you have not provided the school with your child's/young adult's updated immunization records, physicals, proof of an eye exam, and proof of a dental exam by October 15, they will have to be a remote learner until all the required information has been given to the school. Free Breakfast and Lunch for All for the Entire 2020-2021 school year:
The Carrier Mills-Stonefort School District would like to announce that all breakfast and lunch will be served for free for the remainder of the school year. On October 9, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is extending flexibilities to allow free meals to continue to be available to all children throughout the entire 2020-2021 school year. Any resident of Carrier Mills or Stonefort that is 18 years or younger, qualifies for a free breakfast and free lunch when school is in session.

The CMSF High School faculty, staff, and administration would like to welcome you to attend our Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences. These very important conferences will be held in the High School gym on Tuesday, October 13 from 3:15-6:15 pm and then again on Wednesday, October 14 from 3:15-6:15 pm. For in-person meetings, families and educators must follow all five public health requirements: 1) Temperature checks at the door, 2) Masks must be worn at all times, 3) No more than 50 people in the gym at one time, 4) Social distancing must be followed (6-feet of separation), 5) Hand sanitizer will be provided at the doors. In order to adhere to the above requirements, we have established the following schedule: October 13: Freshmen parents/guardians from 3:15-4:45 and Juniors from 4:45-6:15. October 14: Scheduled meetings will occur from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (the office has notified these parents/guardians of their scheduled times). October 14: Sophomore parents/guardians from 3:15-4:45 and Seniors from 4:45-6:15. We look forward to seeing you on October 13 or 14 at our Parent/Teacher Conferences. Attention Parents/Guardians: The Carrier Mills-Stonefort School schedule will continue as it currently is throughout the second quarter. This means that in-person learners will go to school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:45 am to 1:45 pm, remote learners will have assignments available online each day, and each Wednesday throughout the second quarter will be for remote learning only with no student attendance. Please contact your student's school if you have any questions about the schedule.

Warning: Due Dates Are Closer Than They Appear- The end of the 1st Quarter is this Friday, October 9. All classwork, homework, quizzes, and tests from August 24 through October 9 must be turned in by this Friday at 3:00 pm.

Today is the final day to notify the school about your child/young adult being an In-Person Learner or a Remote Learner. If you have not sent in your form, please call the school today and let us know which option you are choosing for the 2nd Quarter.

Attention High School Students: This Friday, October 2 is LifeTouch Picture Retake Day at the High School. If you missed pictures earlier in the year or if you want your picture taken again, LifeTouch will be in the High School gym to take your school picture.

Attention Class of 2021: This is just a reminder, but the SAT testing began at 8:00 am on Wednesday, September 23. Taking the SAT is now a state requirement for high school graduation. If you missed today's test, please contact Mrs. Lane at the High School and she will arrange for you to take the make-up test on Tuesday, October 27. To the Class of 2021: Normally, the SAT is given to students in the spring of their junior year. Due to COVID-19 shut downs, the SAT was canceled last year. Taking the SAT is a state requirement for graduation, therefore all seniors must take it this year to be eligible to graduate. The state is offering a free make-up day for current seniors who were not able to take the test last year. We will provide that test here, at the Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School, on Wednesday September 23rd at 8:00 am. Both in-person and remote learners should report to the high school this Wednesday, September 23rd at 8:00 am to take this test. Please bring a pencil, calculator, and a mask with you that morning. The USDA has extended its "Meals at No Cost to Students Program" for all students. This is an extension of the initial pandemic response. All Pre-K through 12th Grade students will now receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. This is retroactive back to September 1st. Anyone that was charged for meals since that time will receive credit on their account. The extension of the program currently runs through December 31, 2020.
These meals are not only open to in-person learners, but also to anyone still doing remote learning and any child/young adult under 18 years of age, including non-school age children. Remote learners and non-school age children that are not already receiving meals can call the Grade School office at (618) 994-2413 in order to sign up. Pick up for those that are remote learning is Monday-Friday Breakfast 7:45-8:15 a.m. and Lunch pick up is 11:00-11:30 a.m.
